Kenya: Chinese Man Caught With Ivory At Jkia

A Chinese national was arrested at the JKIA by a team of Kenya Airports Police Unit Authority and Kenya Wildlife Service on Monday evening.
He was allegedly on his way to Guangzhou, China and was allegedly in possession of assorted pieces of ivory beads packed in two suit cases weighing 58kg.
Meanwhile, two Tanzanian nationals were taken to a Kibera court yesterday. They were arrested on Monday evening with 16 pieces of ivory weighing 141kg in Ongata Rongai, in Kajiado.
The suspects, Musa Felicia and Victor Mawalla, were driving a Tanzanian registered vehicle. The vehicle has been impounded and their temporary passports confiscated.
